Life changes and life goes on, as they say, and it’s been a while since I provided an So here goes:
I’m still on Caffmos, still looking to make friends and find someone for a long-term relationship.I originally left work in April 2014 to care for my parents, but time takes it’s course and I have been alone since March 2022. I don’t drive now and currently can’t accommodate.
Casual rather than formal is now the order of the day, though I can still scrub up nicely when needed! I’m still full of faults like: being too abrupt or directly spoken, cynical, not suffering fools gladly, believing in-fashioned values such as honesty, integrity, good manners, sincerity and dependability. If you persevere, other qualities such as loyalty, attentiveness, affection, romanticism, caring and being a good listener will emerge with time. Too serious and thoughtful for my own good? Certainly, but I hope I try to do something about it.
It seems that I am also somewhat too naive and trusting. Despite the website advice, I still fell for an internet scam with a young gentleman from the Russian Federation (AndreyGay) who now seems to have disappeared from the site - what a surprise! It reflects a wish not to be alone but please, do not be surprised or put off if I seem a little more cautious. I feel more than ever, that now is the time for me to find someone to be with, and trust that patience will bring its own rewards for the right person.
I’ve been gay for as long as I can remember but it’s only one part of what and who I am. I think my current motto about life is something like “do good wherever you can, but as a minimum, do no harm”.
I like anything and everything �arty� - TV, drama, theatre, opera, ballet/dance, galleries, music, reading, dining, wine, people, kissing, sex (but it is absolutely not the be all and end all for me), but tend to dislike insincerity, dishonesty, discourtesy, time wasters, smoking and excessive weight.
Potential friends and partners: non-smoking, possibly younger, slim/medium build, caring, affectionate, good sense of humour, VERY patient, and aware of more mature men with standards, being prepared to send messages rather than simply �making a move�.
