I love to travel and could use a travel companion sometimes. I especially like to go to places with a history, but I don't spend a lot of time visiting tourist sites. I enjoy wandering the area and visiting restaurants off the beaten track. Small family run places are the best.

What really remains with me after the trip is the culture of the people. I usually bring back with me recipe ideas and sometimes an inspiration as to how I should augment my life. I also enjoy beach vacations and the usual relaxing places. Wherever I have been there are always small, seemingly inconsequential treasures that I bring home and incorporate into my life.

I currently live in upstate New York near the Adirondack State Park. About an hour away from Albany,

I am looking for friends, local and long distance, including other countries, and from there we will see where it goes. Every solid relationship starts with a friendship.

It would be good to have a travel buddy even if we only travel to the same destination occasionally.
