Here goes...bereaved in October of 2024 after a long relationship. I live in Poulton-Le-Fylde near Blackpool in North West UK. I'm a professional musician (a theatre organist) but easing down on engagements...at least, for a while.
Thoughts of a long-term relationship are perhaps too premature...but I want to have some good friends that will be happy to include me in their lives. I always seem to be the one to have to make a move/invitation.
Since being single, most of my straight married couple friends have done a runner!
I AM overweight and I AM doing something about it...with results !
I enjoy cooking and feeding friends who appreciate my hospitality.
I enjoy "close encounters" but things don't always work to order...but i try and make up for it tactile skills.
I like a smartly dressed gent...I like a companion/guest to have conversational skills and a GSOH. I have acquired recently facial hair...something my late partner could not abide. I like to see it on others.
I love live theatre and art galleries but admit that my knowledge of art history is largely untapped. It needs someone to stimulate it.
I enjoy time at home but feel the urge to break out of what has been...I have to admit...a rather restrictive relationship.
Holidays were taken in the same location in The South of France for over 40 years. Not my choice by any means. Too much sand, sea and sun. I had no say I'm the matter. And he wouldn't fly so it meant driving in the motor home.
I don't yet have the confidence to travel abroad by myself. I'm very fortunate to have a good friend with whom I DO travel but I can't expect him to break into his busy life and travel when just when I want to.
What more can I say?...oh yes...
I'm geeky enough to have a decent model railway AND a large digital theatre organ in the house.
It's early days for me. I have to make many adjustments. Friends have gone quiet on me. I have few gay friends as it is.
Poor old geezer.
