About Me

I am a friendly person and try to have consideration for the feelings of others. I love to have discussions on theatre, cinema and literature (mainly fiction). I love cooking and entertaining friends. I also love gardening but since I have retired I have moved from my old home in the countryside which had a large garden which kept me busy. I loved following the cycle of the seasons and to have lots of colour to lift the spirit. Now I live in an apartment with very large balconies on which managed my potted plants. I used to sing in a verry Choral Society in my hometown and also was very engaged in Amatuer dramatics and musicals since i was in Secondary school. I have been lucky to win a number of All Ireland Awards for best Comedian, best supporting male and Runner Up Best Overall performance. I worked as a solicitor for 45 years in a family practice in a country town. I have also trained as a Counsellor and now enjoy volunteering wich a group helping and supporting families affected by dementia. I also do extra mural couses, usually on Art, History and Social issues. I try to be a good listener and a supportive friend.
