Hi, thanks for stopping by. I am just a normal straightforward guy, in an excellent relationship, looking to meet people and make some new platonic friends.
I like books/theatre/television/movies (all sorts except westerns and war films), like eating out - also nights at home with friends. I write fiction, enjoy spooky stuff, sci-fi, board games and online Gaming (WOW/SWTOR). I also collect comics, like chess and sports. I enjoy badminton but, due to a knee injury, not as mobile as I once was, so only play socially now, although still enjoying it. I should really try to get fitter and lose some weight as far too chubby for my own good now, probably the biggest contributor to my knee injury. I go through phases of addressing this . . . don't we all:) So if you need a gym or swim buddy I certainly need someone nagging me!
The above makes me sound a bit geeky and childish (not that there is anything wrong with either - and in some ways I am:) but I do have a serious side too, and I am just as at home in more serious discussion or debate with friends - and am probably too opinionated and stubborn at times.
Initially I can be shy and am more comfortable in smaller than larger groups and can be a little serious and introverted 'till I relax a bit with people. I am fiercely loyal to my friends and boringly dependable. I do tend to do things on my own terms but always with consideration and if it does not fit in with the plans of others, I never take it personally. I prefer people to be upfront about things and come straight out with it, and yes I suppose I am blunt and to the point - probably a bit naive at times.
Basically, I have a varied cross section of interests, feel free to message or contact me if you think we have something in common, it would be nice to chat..
