I am a widely experienced and worldly man. I saw valiant service in the trenches of the sexual revolution. Now I enjoy quieter thrills like holding hands.
The beneficiary of brave pioneers, I am fortunate to live my entire adult life as an openly gay man.
When I was growing up here in the beautiful American Southwest all I wanted was to leave. I did and spent 25 remarkable years in New York City, a few more roaming elsewhere teaching undergraduates and graduate students, working in hospitals, and for the US Navy in the south Pacific. I came back to the Southwest to care for my mother through her recent death. Now I am free to retire where I will. I am looking, revisiting some familiar and loved places (Egypt, Thailand, Italy, Argentina) and looking at some others for the first time. I've been around the world and I've been around the block, both more than once. I am far from through traveling and learning. But, I would love to share the present, stories of the past and a combined future with another man.
I think I can enjoy you for who you are. I do not have a list of requirements, but I do hope to meet a man who can talk, discuss, investigate.
My interests are varied, mostly mental, but I love the out-of-doors wherever I am. By the way, the weather and the landscapes here are gorgeous the opportunities for meeting and matching are dismal. I'm not tied to a place or responsibilities or a catalog of fantasies. With a real connection with a willing partner who felt the same way, I am free to move about the world as much as visas and limited dollars will allow. A failure of will or imagination won't stand in our way.
I have bought a house in Mexico. That will be home base as soon as I finish wading through the flotsam of a lifetime to separate memories from scrap.
