With a population of nearly four million, Los Angeles is the second most populous city in the United States. Los Angeles has a number of nicknames including ‘Tinseltown’ and ‘The City of Angels’. You could also visit the Los Angeles Fire Department Hollywood Museum 27; the Hollywood Wax Museum and Ripley’s Believe it or Not, a museum full of oddities. If you visit South Central, you could visit the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County; the California Science Center; the California African American Museum; and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Los Angeles is a sprawling city with much to see and do, whether you want to experience the city’s culture or simply shop. Plus, it is a gay-friendly destination with plenty of gay bars and clubs where you can mingle and a number of gay-oriented events such as Los Angeles Pride and Outfest, a showcase for LGBT films. Although a city in its own right, a visit to West Hollywood (known as WeHo) is a must for any gay tourist. It has been described as the gayest city in the USA with numerous gay clubs and bars to frequent. The Los Angeles Pride festival is held in WeHo.
