Can we first start by thanking everyone that attended a very successful gathering at The Queens Hotel Blackpool 2019, the gentlemen staying at the Queens some who had travelled from afar as Canada and Denmark, the gentlemen staying in other Hotels, the gentlemen living in Blackpool and the gentlemen who travelled from all over the North West area for the evenings entertainment over the weekend, Thank You.
The Fancy Dress Parade was as usual fantastic with some great costumes entering into the theme of Las Vegas, congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to all that took part and made it the spectacle it was.
We must also say a big thank you to everyone that bought tickets for the raffle and the gentlemen that donated some great raffle prizes, the grand total raised was an amazing £881.00 with the check presented on the Sunday evening to Andy Clarke the area representative for Prostate Cancer UK.

Vayamos a la playa!
Benidorm, Spain is a great place to lenghten the British summer or to just enjoy a couple of weeks relaxed fun if travelling from other parts of the world. A group of Caffmos members have been visiting this Spanish resort for a number of years for an autumn break. If you have no travel plans for the last week of September or the first week of October 2018, why not join in the fun. The beaches are clean, the water still warm and the bars friendly.
There are some great travel deals to be enjoyed. Benidorm 'Old Town' is where most of the gay night life occurs, so do check out the
hotel/apartments location before booking. See the Real Benidorm website which will give you a little more information of hotels, bars and places to visit in Benidorm.
Of course message us caffmosjohn or face41 for more information if you think we can assist with your travel plans.
Daytime meeting place (weather permitting) is on the Levante Beach, opposite the Guiness Pub. And the evening meeting place 9pm onwards is at the Company bar and Bar Domino, Calle San Miguel - Benidorm Old Town.
If you are looking for a room share at a Caffmos gathering add your name to the travel partners list.
Cruising Polar Bears is part of TLO Cruises and Tours, and is a group specifically created for senior gay males who want to travel. The primary goal of Cruising Polar Bears is to create a nurturing community, which brings men together from all around the world who not only like to travel, but who want to meet other men for fellowship and emotional support.
For our inaugural event we have planned a 14 night transatlantic cruise on Celebrity Infinity, which will be departing Fort Lauderdale, FL on April 22, and arriving in Barcelona, Spain on May 6. Along the way, there will be stops in the Azores, Portugal and 4 ports in Spain (Cadiz, Malaga, Alicante and Barcelona).
This group cruise has been planned to be much more than a "regular" gay cruise you could plan on your own. First and foremost, are pleased to welcome aboard award-winning author, Dr Loren Olson, MD as a guest on our inaugural voyage. He will be presenting three different days on age related topics in the ship’s main theater. If you haven’t heard Loren speak, you are in for a real treat. He is warm and caring, and will answer your most difficult questions with compassion and integrity.
We are also planning pre- and post-cruise events, including a welcome aboard get-together aboard ship. Additionally, our group is scheduled to eat together with early seating for dinner, so you won’t have to dine with a group of strangers. The early seating will allow us to attend the second show each night in the theater for those so inclined. Also, you will probably want to enjoy a variety of shore excursions while in port, and we can help you select tours that fit your interests, lifestyle and budget. You can take part in everything, or you can pick and choose what you would like to do while on the trip. Remember, this is your vacation!
TLO Cruises and Tours can also assist you with flights to Fort Lauderdale or flights home to your destination city, hotel accommodations in either Fort Lauderdale or Barcelona (if you wish to extend your stays) and transfer accommodations. We are a full service travel agency. Just ask!
Cruising Polar Bears is planning additional events for the fall of 2019 and beyond. Once again, our intention is to build a supportive community through travel. Some of our futures travel plans include a Rocky Mountaineer Train trip through Canada, a fall foliage cruise through New England and eastern Canada, a cruise through the Panama Canal, an Alaskan Cruise, and perhaps even cruises to Australia, Hawaii, Southeast Asia or the Amazon, if there is enough interest.
TLO Cruises and Tours and Cruising Polar Bears has been created as an outtake from my own personal caregiving experiences. The original idea behind the concept was to provide respite opportunities for caregivers, as well as a place for people to meet and greet after caregiving ends.
