01/07/2009 - Back in the UUUK!

Freddy and I ventured over to Fort Lauderdale this year for the 2009 "A celebration of Friends" gathering. It was great to meet so many members there and hopefully a few new ones too! Everybody made us feel so welcome. Thanks Tomcat for a terrific weekend. We may just make it an annual date!

20/05/2009 - Blackpool Spring Gathering.

We had a ball! And from the rebookings for next year so did most everybody. Other than a few squeaky floorboards most people had a lovely weekend. Even Frank Carson enjoyed it! See the holidays page to view the photos and dates for next year. Get your bookings in early.

04/03/2009 - Picture Album upgraded.

We have expanded of the Picture Album space available for Gold members. This is now 5MB - which should hold around 15-20 photos depending on quality.

12/01/2009 - Server Update & Upgrade.

As we grow larger, with more members joining daily the more we need to keep on top of the speed and development of the site. With this in mind we have now upgraded the main sites server and added an addition back up server. This all went smoothly and without a hitch. John

02/11/2008 - 10 year anniversary

Caffmos celebrated its 10th anniversary. With this Caffmos and its administration team would like to thanks everyone involved for their support. Without its members, there would be no Caffmos. Thank you!

22/07/2008 - SQL Injections.

Due to a large number of database driven sites (1,500,000) being attacked by sql injections. We have shored up our interface and created a seperate login page to add to our security.

18/04/2008 - Website closure - outage.

Today the site was closed. A redirection input to one of the sites forms when activated directed members to a frame of another website with various downloads offered. A virus check of your system would be advised.

The server was not breached or hacked. The problems found due to this problem were quickly resolved and extra security measures enforced before the site was relaunched. Do please check and update your profile via the "Edit Profile" if required.

28/03/2008 - Fighting Scams & Spams.

We have enhanced the registration procedure with new security software and added a few more checks to remove unwanted registrations. We have also added a "Report" button to profile pages so members can assist by reporting any inappropriate use of Caffmos membership. Thus enabling us to take a closer look at their account, monitor and action accordingly.

10/03/2008 - Holidays & Vacation Page.

The Holiday & vacation page has been fully updated for 2008-2009. Information regarding -A Celebration of Friends- is available, as well as of course the Caffmos gathering in the UK, 2 week break in Benidorm, Spain and we have organised with MIM Travel a similar cruise to that of this February for 2009. 02/03/2008 - Revamp Front & Welcome Pages

With the introduction of the Business Directory and the Travel & Accommodation Guide, we took the opportunity to revamp the front and welcome pages. For added security we moved the login facility from open domain name access and to a new login page. The Community, Business & Travel sections are now under section banners within the left hand site menu. The Welcome page now features supporting members and a more visible membership area.

01/03/2008 - Business Directory - Travel & Accommodation Guide.

We have created a new Business Directory and amalgamated the Travel section with an Accommodation resource. If you know of any gay or gay friendly business, hotel, guest house or B&B do advise them that they can now advertise within our pages. The Travel & Accommodation Guide has been revamped too. Take a look and add your City/Resort reviews, as well as any bars, clubs and saunas which you feel should be represented by Caffmos.

30/12/2007 - Alone at Christmas page.

With Christmas and the festive holidays being a difficult and for some a lonely period, we considered a means of getting members together. An "Alone at Christmas" page was introduced. It soon became apparent it was definitely needed and I was kept busy adding and removing names from the list. We will certainly recreate something similar for next year. 10/12/2007 - Filtering Message facility

Another new Gold feature!
Aligned with member suggestions a system enabling supporting members to define contact by specific matched criteria has now been completed. One can now restrain contact from those who do not match criteria such as age, location, profile photo, etc. See the link to the Message Filtering facility for more details. 28/10/2007 - BOURNEMOUTH GATHERING 2007

What a great weekend!
Steve, Chris, Mr & Mrs Simms and staff did us proud once again and a good time seemed to have had by all. The numbers were up from last years events and once again we had great support from the more local members who attended in force. Thanks.

12/10/2007 - Chat Server

Upgrade to Chat server made between 4-5am (GMT). All went well - super quick change over and now superior performance. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. John

03/10/2007 - Main site server upgrade.

Although the server was performing well, we had been offered an upgrade which offers double the capacity with more speed at a reasonable price. Now completed the speed seems similar but the performance is greatly enhances. The peaks have now been completely removed which will offer a better result when busy. Thanks for your patience - and apologies for any inconvenience but as we grow we need to keep the servers upgraded and maintained. Thanks John.

01/10/2007 - Send a message with a photo.

Supporting members can now send a photo from their picture album within their onsite messages. This means if due to circumstances a member feels he cannot upload a profile photo, he can upload and password protect a photo within his picture album. This photo can then be sent to specific members when required - hence retaining complete privacy and discretion.

10/09/2007 - UK Christmas Events

A list of Christmas events organised by Caffmos coordinators within the UK has been published. There are a number of special lunches and events throughout the UK. Brighton, Bournemouth, Manchester & Edinburgh. Please check out the Xmas Events 2007 page for more details and booking procedures. John

Due to a slight glitch, some members profiles may now show an incorrect age. Please click here and correct your date of birth if required. Save changes by clicking the update button at the bottom of the page. Thanks John.

10/08/2007 - New site menu & site map.

A site map has been created to offer members a means of checking out the site content at a glance. With this we have changed the left hand site men around a little. Each header section leads to descriptive links which should help navigating the site. Do check out the links and familiarise yourselves with the new layout. Thanks. John

18/07/2007 - Featured Videos.

We have now added a list of three randomly selected videos to the welcome page, within/as part of the "News Flash" column - under the heading Featured Videos.

01/07/2007 - New features for the Caffmos Plaza.

A couple of new features have been added to the Caffmos Plaza. These include linkage to members main profile, instead of their unique profile address. A difference in colour of incoming and outgoing members. In addition supporting members can now see who is viewing their cams if connected. Check out the "Caffmos Plaza" for further details.

25/06/2007 - Add a video to your profile.

A new upload feature is now available for members to add a video, slide show or audio file to their profile. The new feature can be found through your "My Vieo" button.

Add a video or audio file before the 1st September 2007 and have you name listed to the Video Summer draw sponsored by "ppv older4me". Click here for more details.

22/05/2007 - Blackpool weekend.

Blackpool was a great success. In all 100 members booked in the Broadway and overspill hotels, plus around 20 Blackpool members popped in during the weekend. Thanks to everyone for the support. Thanks must also go to the Mayfair, the management & staff - also the caberet artists for the terrific entertainment and fun, plus a big thank-you to both Ken and Matthew for the extra musical entertainment. It was great!

10/05/2007 - Media File Uploads

Members can now upload media (video & audio) files to their profile. Check out your My Photos" page for more information. Adding a photo, video or audio file to your profile really does make a difference to its exposure.

20/04/2007 - Addition to listings.

We have now added a "total" number of photos uploaded to a members profile in all search listings. A number of members due to circumstances may not be able to upload a profile photo, but can have uploaded password protected ot themed photos. This total number now makes it clear who has uploaded photos and how many.

22/02/2007 - Things & Thongs

A new Themed gallery has been launched today, called Things & Thongs. A gallery within which you can add those holiday snaps in skimpy swimsuits or shorts, or at home lazing about in your designer underwear/undies - lycra, jocks or whatever. Enjoy!

20/02/2007 - NEW SERVER

With the continual growth of membership to Caffmos, we decided to upgrade the old server to a new multi faceted, dual core version. The transisition has gone well. We will let it "bed in" - as they say and review things at a later stage. First figues show an increase in speen and stability. Do please contact me if you experience any problems. Many thanks. John

22/12/2006 - Incorrect Email Addresses

A number of members have an incorrect email addresses in their profiles, causing mail to bounce back and take up vital resourses. This issue needs to be addressed. So to prevent possible deletion, please check your "My Profile Page" and correct if required. Thank you.

17/12/2006 - Server issues.

From the server outage of Friday 15th December a number of issues have been noted.

Firstly a need of a contingency plan for any similar occasions in the future.

Secondly due to the online growth of Caffmos and its onsite activity, an upgrade to the server is proposed for the near future.

Lastly, a large number of email addresses used in member accounts are incorrect. Accounts whose email address continues to bounce will regrettably need to be removed.

28/11/2006 - New look Frontpage.

We have given the frontpage a new look. Adding several other galleries from which photos are randomly chosen to show. The only big difference is the change of location of your account details and the allert to you having mail. These instead of showing in the top left hand side of the page now appear under the News Flash box. We hope you will like the new format.

10/11/2006 - New help section.

I am in the midst of revamping the sites help section with a link from each relevant page to a list of frequently asked questions. The link will be found in the top right hand side of the pages header bar.

02/11/2006 - New Themed galleries.

Two extra themed galleries have been open. One for those who require a little more anonymity, can now upload a photo without a face showing to the "Ingonito" gallery. Plus those wanting a bit more spice can upload photos and view those members wishing to show themselves "In the Buff". Check out the Gallery Menu!

01/11/2006 - November Competition.

To celebrate our 8th Birthday and in addition to the iChat special, those members adding a Travel Resort review or amenity, or uploading a photo to one of the Themed galleries will have their names added to a special birthday Prize Draw, to be drawn on 1st december. Good luck!

31/10/2006 - Birthday Celebration.

To celebrate we are opening the iChat to everyone. The iChat is our Instant messenger facility. Plus those entering a "Resort Review/Amentity" or uploading a photo to the "Themed galleries" (see your My Photos page) during November will be entered in a Celebratory Draw to be drawn on 1st December. 23/10/2006 - "My Photo" page refurbished

The "My Photos" page has been revamped. Members can now upload, edit and delete photos from the one area. Please take a few moments to check it out - your feedback welcome. Do not forget 60-65% of users only look at profiles which include a photo, so add a photo today. We will be adding an extra section to the "My Photos" section for supporting members to be able to add a video file to their profile.

03/10/2006 - Caffmos Group Travel

From the results of the recent Poll, the idea of travelling as part of a group of caffmos members seemed to of interest. So from this feedback a holiday in Gran canaria has been organised. Sole occupancy of a exclusively gay complex has been negociated. Your support and early bookings appreciated - space is limited. If popular we will look at similar, future events and resorts. 03/10/2006 - Photo gallery menu page revamped.

With the launch of the new "Themed gallery" section, we decided the Photo Gallery menu page needed a bit of a revamp. Hopefully this visual menu will offer a more user friendly and enjoyable experience. Check it out here!

03/10/2006 - Themed galleries are launched.

You can now start adding photos into themed galleries. We have started the ball rolling with a "Suits & Tie" themed gallery. More to follow - suggestions welcome. You can view the themed galleries via the Photo Gallery menu list and add a photo from your "My Photos" area or the link shown in the Themed Photo section on the Photo Gallery Menu page.

01/10/2006 - Caffmos Spring Gathering in Blackpool

Due to the success of the annual Caffmos gathering events in Bournemouth last month, it has been decided to create two events. One in the south of the UK in Bournemouth and one in the north of the UK in Blackpool. The Gathering in Blackpool will be called the Spring gathering and will be held 18th -21st May 2007 at the Broadway Hotel. More details can be found within the UK Events page.

01/10/2006 - Caffmos Pin Badges.

You can now buy a Caffmos pin badge, which you can wear as a subtle and discreet form of recognition of Caffmos membership. It is create from "die struck brass" and enamel coated with a butterfly clutch clasp at its back so wearable on most article of clothing, bags and accessories. Proceeds to be donated toward Prostate Cancer Research. Click here for more details on how to purchase a badge and information on prostate cancer.

02/11/2004 - Attach photos to messages.

Supporting members are now able to view and attach their Picture Album photos to their messages. This offers a discreet and very private means of allowing specific members a means of viewing your photos without having to upload and have them on full view to everyone. Privacy and discretion for some is very essential, and we hope this new feature goes toward retaining such.
